Neighborhoods and communities

Morrow is a small Warren County village in Salem Township, built where Todds Fork meets the Little Miami River. The village history page explains that the Little Miami Railroad reached a grist mill here in the 1840s, and the town grew up around it. Today the village core sits close to the river and the trail, and the land around it in Salem Township is a mix of rural roads, farm parcels and scattered subdivisions. Buyers often compare Morrow with nearby Lebanon, South Lebanon and Maineville.

Housing types and eras

Inside the village you'll find older frame homes on small lots near the historic center, along with ranches and two-story homes from later decades. Outside the village, Salem Township has homes on larger lots and acreage, some with outbuildings. Because parts of the village sit near the river, check the FEMA flood map and the village's floodplain rules for any address you're considering, and ask whether the home is on public sewer or a septic system. Ask for the age of the roof, furnace, water heater and windows, and get a sewer or septic inspection where applicable.

Schools

Our sample address in the village (150 E Pike St) is in the Little Miami Local School District, based on the U.S. Census Geocoder. District lines can change from street to street, so confirm the exact address with the district before you buy.

Commute

Most drivers head south on State Route 123 or west toward Lebanon and I-71 for trips to Cincinnati, Mason or Columbus. Drive times depend on where in the township you start. Check live times on Google Maps.

Parks and amenities

Morrow Veterans Park, run by the Warren County Park District, sits in the heart of the village between the Little Miami River and the Little Miami Scenic Trail. It has two sections, each with a shelter and grills. The north section adds a playground, six rectangular fields and softball diamonds, and a canoe and kayak launch on the river. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk.

What to check before you buy

Before you buy in Morrow, confirm three things for the exact parcel. First, whether it sits inside the village or out in Salem Township, which changes zoning, utilities and who plows the road. Second, its flood zone, since the village publishes floodplain regulations and some streets lie close to the Little Miami and Todds Fork. Third, for acreage, the survey, easements and any shared driveway agreements. Homes near Morrow Veterans Park and the trail draw cyclists and paddlers, so walking access to the trailhead is worth highlighting in a listing. Sellers with land should gather septic records, well tests and outbuilding permits early, because buyers' lenders often ask for them.
